I am a book blogger and the owner of Bookworm Blues - a popular speculative fiction book review website. I have been a compulsive reader all my life. Early on found my reading niche in the fantastic genre of Speculative Fiction. I blame my active imagination for the hobbies that threaten to consume my life. A freelance writer and photographer, world traveler and recent college graduate, I'm also a new mother, cancer fighter & survivor. In my ideal world, I'd do nothing but drink lots of tea and read from a never ending pile of speculative fiction books. Respected as a reviewer, I receive book ARCs from all of the major and most minor publishers in science fiction and fantasy. But given my love of stories, I've always wanted to be a part of the creative process, and editing is my first step in that direction.

AUTHORS WELCOME

I try very hard not to weigh in on internet drama. Why? Because it’s not what I want my website to be about. That being said, there are occasions when I get so absolutely pissed off I can’t seem to see straight so I decide to go vocal. Plus, us redheads are good about going…

A-Z Bookish Survey

I don’t usually do this stuff, but I’m rather bored at the moment (Okay, the honest truth is that I’m avoiding editing something because, well, that’s how I roll). Anyway, I saw this on a few other blogs and it looked like a good time killer, and rather interesting. Sometimes I like to detour a…

Author Interview | Doug Lain

Yesterday, I reviewed the book Billy Moon, a short novel which truly surprised me. I enjoyed it so much, I decided to interview the author. This also happens to be my first author interview after my cancer treatment, and it’s taking me some time to get back into the swing and art of interviewing. My…
