I am a book blogger and the owner of Bookworm Blues - a popular speculative fiction book review website. I have been a compulsive reader all my life. Early on found my reading niche in the fantastic genre of Speculative Fiction. I blame my active imagination for the hobbies that threaten to consume my life. A freelance writer and photographer, world traveler and recent college graduate, I'm also a new mother, cancer fighter & survivor. In my ideal world, I'd do nothing but drink lots of tea and read from a never ending pile of speculative fiction books. Respected as a reviewer, I receive book ARCs from all of the major and most minor publishers in science fiction and fantasy. But given my love of stories, I've always wanted to be a part of the creative process, and editing is my first step in that direction.

If you’re wondering where I’ve been recently…

I’ve been here, just busy. You see, we bought a house back in February. The old owners had (in my opinion) bad decorating taste. For example, the living room was painted baby poop brown. We painted it a pretty green. That was the first room to change. Then, we’ve been sitting on our kitchen. We…

And the winner is…

First, I need to apologize for taking so long to announce the winner. I’m currently immersed in the epic “paint the kitchen” project and it’s taking FOREVER – along with the fact that I’m pulling long hours at work. I have been rather quiet on the blogging front due to all of that. Anyway, the…

Author Interview | Teresa Frohock

Teresa Frohock doesn’t really need an introduction. She’s an incredible author (whose work I think everyone should read) and an amazingly kind woman with a wonderful internet presence. She was also nice enough to answer my armload of questions, despite her incredibly busy life. I was beyond thrilled that she was willing to answer all…

Guest Review: X-Men Comics

I’ve been very busy recently. Work has been keeping me going; so has my kid. On top of that, it’s hotter than holy blazing hell and our swamp cooler only brings the house down to a balmy (not) 90 degrees during the day (trust me, our present to each other this winter holiday season is…

Author Signing – Dan Wells

We don’t get many author events in Utah. I mean, why would we? It’s Utah, for crying out loud. Besides a few speculative fiction authors who live here (Brandon Sanderson, L.E. Modesitt Jr., Dan Wells [until Wednesday] and a few others) there really isn’t much that happens here. A few authors pass by occasionally. It…
